Advertising Calander Lithograph by Alex McLaren (1882-1978). For decades, these colourful calendars and prints were staple fixtures in doctor's offices, dental clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals across Canada. Between 1915 and 1993, five artists brought the Dingbats to life: Dudley Ward (originator), Ross Wiggs, L.R. Batchelor, Alex McLaren & Gunter Scherrer.
