This is a very rare 1860's Rockingham pottery Pitcher with embossed scene called "Rebekah at the Well." This is 12" tall x 6" diameter. NO chips, cracks or breaks and approximate value is $235.00 +! "Rebekah at the well" was a biblical matriarch, the wife of Isaac, and the mother of Jacob and Esau. Her story appears in Genesis 24, where Abraham's servant meets her at a town well in Mesopotamia and identifies her as God's chosen wife for Isaac through her generous acts of kindness."
