Von Schierholz German Hand-Painted Porcelain 3-Piece Cherub Mantel Clock Garniture Ornate three-piece German porcelain mantel clock set by Von Schierholz, consisting of a central clock and a matching pair of covered decorative urns. Each piece features elaborate Rococo-style scrollwork, pierced accents, extensive gold trim, colorful hand-painted floral sprays, and applied porcelain roses and blossoms. The central clock is decorated with sculpted cherubs, including one holding a tambourine above the clock and another playing a stringed instrument along the base. The clock has a pink dial with Roman numerals and decorative gold-tone hands. The matching urns feature floral bouquet finials, scrolling handles, and additional cherub figures. The underside bears the crowned shield mark with “Von Schierholz – Handmalerei,” meaning hand-painted. Von Schierholz operated in Plaue, Thuringia, Germany, and became known for decorative Dresden-style porcelain.
