This RCA Victor 61-10 (Radiola 1-10) is a dual-band receiver designed to pick up both standard domestic broadcasts and international shortwave frequencies. It receives the following two bands:Standard Broadcast (AM) Band: Covers 550 kHz to 1600 kHz (indicated on the top row as 55 to 160).Shortwave (Spread Band): Covers approximately 9.0 MHz to 12.0 MHz (indicated on the bottom row as 9.0 to 12).The dial face highlights two specific shortwave segments within this range: the 31-meter band (around 9.5 MHz) and the 25-meter band (around 11.7 MHz), which were heavily used for international news and programming when this radio was manufactured.
