MARLIN 1894 44-40 TRAPPER CARBINE-Lever Rifle, 19.25" Barrel, Very Good Condition, Shiny Bore, Tight Action, sn:133557 This 130-year-old lever-action rifle in .44-40 Winchester features a first-generation original 19.25" barrel and a full-length tubular magazine beneath a round barrel, and is stamped "MARLIN SAFETY" with a top side-ejecting port. The barrel reads "MARLIN FIREARMS CO. New Haven CT. PAT AUG 1 1893." and carries a pre-1899 antique serial number. The dark walnut straight stock and matching forend are secured by dual barrel bands. The receiver shows a silvered patina, and the rifle wears traditional open sights—a classic example of nineteenth-century American arms making that collectors prize. (85016) (GSCF18)
