ATTENTION (Aufmerksamkeit): You can own a piece of history if you win this bid! This is an authentic German Volksempfanger VE 301 DYN Radio referred to as "The people's radio". It was introduced in 1933, and the name VE 301 referenced January 30, the date Adolf Hitler became German Chancellor. The Nazi regime subsidized its production, making it an affordable and widespread tool for broadcasting propaganda, particularly the messages of Joseph Goebbels, the minister of Nazi propaganda. It was designed to be inexpensive, lacking shortwave bands and only marking German and Austrian stations on its tuning dial to prevent access to foreign broadcasts like the BBC's World Service. Different models were produced for various power sources like batteries, AC or DC, and later versions VE 301 DYN featured improved loudspeakers. This radio is also in working order and fine condition.
