Pheasant and Peony Motif. This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain vase featuring a rich cobalt blue glaze. The body of the vase is adorned with a detailed hand-painted scene depicting pheasants amidst blooming peonies, accented with gold gilt details. The vase has an octagonal base and tapers upwards, with a flared rim. The intricate artwork and vibrant blue suggest a Japanese origin, likely from the Kutani kilns. The presence of a maker's mark on the base, which appears to read 'Kutani', indicates it is a crafted piece. The overall aesthetic is classic East Asian decorative art, combining bold color with delicate naturalistic imagery.
