Hand carved wooden folk art match holder from North Western Mexico dated to 1910. The piece is 6 1/2 ins. tall with a base measuring 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ins. Depicts a standing figure carrying a basket on its back, intended as a match holder. Dark wood finish with visible carving marks. Wear consistent with age and handling.
