5 ins. Japanese Satsuma lidded tea jar from the Meiji Period (1868-1912) in 1000 Faces design with intricate gilt accents. Interior decorated with calligraphy & marked with characters on the base. The lid features additional 1000 Faces scenes with agold-tone finial. Condition appears consistent with age & fine craftsmanship, no visible major flaws.
