Has a factory extended, ocatagon barrel and a set trigger. It is in good, shooting condition with case hardened receiver. The Winchester Model 1873 "38 rifle" is actually chambered in .38-40 Winchester (or .38 WCF). Introduced in 1879, it uses a .401-inch bullet. This caliber was extremely popular for its potent velocity (over 1,000 feet per second) and is still manufactured by Winchester today.
