1974 AND 1977 FIFTY DOLLAR FEDERAL NOTES LOT 1974 and 1977 Series Fifty Dollar Federal Reserve Note Lot This lot features two vintage United States fifty-dollar bills, including one Series 1974 Federal Reserve Note and one Series 1977 Federal Reserve Note. Both notes were issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, California, as indicated by the "L" district seal and the corresponding "12" prefix in the serial numbers. The Series 1974 note bears the signatures of Neff and Simon, while the Series 1977 note features the signatures of Morton and Blumenthal. These notes showcase the classic portrait of Ulysses S. Grant on the obverse and the United States Capitol on the reverse.
