1984-D KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR UNCIRCULATED SLAB 1984-D Kennedy Half Dollar Brilliant Uncirculated INB Slabbed Condition: This coin is graded as Brilliant Uncirculated by the International Numismatic Bureau (INB) and is housed in a protective plastic slab. The surfaces exhibit original mint luster with some natural toning and minor contact marks consistent with an uncirculated strike. The Denver mint mark "D" is clearly visible on the obverse above the date. The metal content consists of a copper-nickel clad composition, featuring an outer layer of 75% copper and 25% nickel bonded to a pure copper core. Historically, the Kennedy Half Dollar was first minted in 1964 to memorialize President John F. Kennedy. By 1984, these coins were produced for general circulation and collectors, featuring the Gilroy Roberts obverse design and the Frank Gasparro heraldic eagle reverse design. This specific example is a business strike type intended for circulation but preserved in uncirculated condition.
