Framed commemorative print titled "The Green Bay Holly Photos" published by Matti Images and copyrighted 2005. This colorful collage features rare backstage photographs taken at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay, Wisconsin during Buddy Holly's Winter Dance Party appearance on February 1, 1959, just days before the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. The print includes images of Buddy Holly (Charles Hardin Holley), Ritchie Valens (Richard Steven Valenzuela), The Big Bopper (Jiles Perry Richardson Jr.), Dion DiMucci, Frankie Sardo & The Belmonts, Tommy Allsup, and Waylon Jennings, along with a photo of the Riverside Ballroom. The photographs originated from Larry and Joan Matti, who were granted backstage access during the concert, making them a unique visual record of one of rock-and-roll's most historic tours. Professionally matted in yellow and housed in an elegant gold-tone frame, this piece is an outstanding display for collectors of "Buddy Holly" and early rock-and-roll memorabilia. Frame appears to be in good overall condition with light wear consistent with age and display. Please see photos for details.
