A set of botanical stipple engravings with hand-coloring after the original designs of Pierre-Joseph Redoute. The subjects comprise various rose cultivars including Rosa bifera officinalis (Rosier des Parfumeurs), Rosa Rapa (Rosier Turneps), Rosa Indica Cruenta (Rosier du Bengale), and Rosa Gallica (Rosier Eveque). Each print bears the artist's inscribed attribution P. J. Redoute pinx. at the lower left. The engravers are identified at the lower right, with three plates credited to Langlois sculp. and one to Charlin sculp. The works are presented in matching dark-finished wood frames with double matting in red and cream tones. The compositions employ the stipple technique, using fine dot patterns to create subtle tonal gradations and textures in the floral blooms and foliage. Condition: The prints are in good overall condition with light, uniform toning to the paper consistent with age. No evidence of foxing, staining, or moisture damage is visible. The frames and matting are well-preserved with only minor incidental wear to the frame edges.
