A contemporary decorative Galileo thermometer consisting of a clear glass cylinder with a tapered, pointed top and a wide, flared circular base. The sealed interior is filled with clear liquid and contains multiple blown glass spheres, each partially filled with a distinct colored liquid. Every sphere has a suspended copper-toned metal tag stamped with a numerical temperature value followed by a degree symbol, indicating a Celsius scale. Legible markings include 26, 22, and 20. A gold oval sticker on the base is printed with red text that reads MADE IN CHINA. The instrument functions based on the principle of buoyancy, where changes in ambient temperature alter the density of the clear liquid, causing the internal glass buoys to rise or sink.
