Step back in time with this fascinating 19th-century wooden commode chair. Built with practicality in mind but showcasing charming craftsmanship, this piece features a carved backrest with decorative detailing and sturdy armrests. The central seat section houses an enamel bowl, still intact, that hints at its original and functional purpose—an essential household item before the modern conveniences of indoor plumbing. The wear and patina on the wood whisper tales of its authentic use and age. A unique collector's item or conversation starter, this chair merges history and utility in a singular fashion.
