Handblown art glass vase by renowned German studio glass artist Erwin Eisch, featuring a satin black finish accented with flowing iridescent blue and white feather-like pulled decoration. The sculptural bottle-form vase displays Eisch's distinctive experimental approach to contemporary studio glass and is signed and dated "'85" on the base. A striking example of late 20th-century European art glass, combining elegant form with luminous iridescent decoration. Erwin Eisch (1927-2022, Germany) was a pioneering German glass artist, painter, and sculptor widely regarded as one of the founders of the international Studio Glass movement. Working from Frauenau in Bavaria, Eisch collaborated with leading artists including Harvey Littleton and Sam Herman, helping transform glass into a respected medium for contemporary fine art. His works are held in major museum collections worldwide, including The Corning Museum of Glass, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
