One small round hinged white glazed porcelain or ceramic box with a pastoral figural lid scene depicting two women and a child. The lid bears the printed name “Angelica Kauffmann,” which appears to identify the depicted artist or source image ratherthan the box manufacturer. Features include gilt edging, floral garland decoration, a front clasp, and an attached hinge. The separate handwritten note shown in Photo 5 is excluded. Visible wear and loss to the gilt decoration, especially at the rimsand hardware, along with scratches, scuffs, discoloration, and small dark marks on the underside and interior. The hinge and clasp are present, but their functionality and tightness are unconfirmed. No obvious major break or detached lid is visible.Interior is empty. Exact maker, date, country of origin, and source image are unconfirmed.
