1998 Vintage Barbie Bob Mackie Print, Mattel

The silver-tone metal frame has small scratches, scuffs, and other normal wear from use. A gift inscription is handwritten in black marker on the frame backboard. The backboard could be reversed or replaced so the inscription is no longer visible. Please review all photos for overall condition. Framed 1998 Bob Mackie Barbie fashion-design print associated with Mattel's Madame du Barbie, model 17934. The illustration depicts Barbie in an elaborate blue and white period-style gown. The print is marked 1998 Mattel, Inc. 17934-0970 in the lower-left margin. Approximate overall frame dimensions are 16 inches wide by 20-1/2 inches tall. The artwork appears to have been commercially produced using an offset lithographic printing process. A solid black Bob Mackie signature appears at the lower right and is visually distinct from the halftone dot pattern used throughout the illustration. However, other examples of this print have been found with the signature in the same location and style, suggesting it may be a printed or otherwise reproduced facsimile rather than an individually hand-signed signature, despite its differing ink density and appearance. It has not been authenticated as hand-signed.
