This lot features a 1962 Proof Franklin Half Dollar, a classic example of mid-20th-century U.S. proof coinage. A great addition for collectors of Franklin Half Dollars, proof sets, or historic American silver coins. Minted from 1948 through 1963, the Franklin Half Dollar was designed by John R. Sinnock and features Benjamin Franklin on the obverse with the Liberty Bell on the reverse. The 1962 Proof issue was struck with a special polished finish for collectors and is composed of 90% silver, making it desirable for both its historical significance and precious metal content.
