This lot features an 1854 Liberty Seated Dime with Arrows at Date, an important early issue in U.S. coinage history. A great opportunity for collectors of classic American silver coins and early Seated Liberty designs. Minted from 1837 to 1891, the Liberty Seated Dime was designed by Christian Gobrecht and features Liberty seated on the obverse. The Arrows at Date variety was introduced in 1853 to indicate a slight increase in the coin’s weight following changes to the silver standard. Composed of 90% silver, these historic dimes remain popular among collectors for their age, design, and historical significance.
