Rare Discontinued Finish: Midnight Purple (offered from 1991 to roughly 2001) is one of the most sought-after collector finishes from the original run.First-Gen Hardware: This specific generation features Fender Lace Sensor pickups (distinguished by the solid white covers with no exposed metal pole pieces). The bridge pickup is a "Dually" humbucker configuration, which was later changed to standard single-coil noiseless pickups on the newer variants.The "Baseball Bat" Neck: Early 1990s versions have an incredibly thick, deep "U" shape neck profile that has achieved legendary cult status among vintage gear collectors.
