A figural thermometer depicting a caricatured baby in a dark brown finish, appearing to be made of ceramic or resin. The baby figure is posed bent over, holding a gold-tone metallic thermometer plate against its back. The figure wears an off-white or tan-colored garment resembling a diaper around its rear. The thermometer displays a temperature range from approximately 20 to 120 degrees, with a red liquid indicator showing around 32-34 degrees. The thermometer plate is clearly marked 'MADE IN U.S.A.' and also includes the number '294' below the country of origin. The entire piece is mounted on a rectangular base with grooved detailing on the sides. The item shows signs of wear consistent with a used condition, including minor scuffs on the surface and base, and some discoloration on the metallic thermometer plate.
