An oblong metal sign featuring 'Ottawa KANSAS' in faded cream/off-white lettering on a black background. The word 'Ottawa' is in a large script font, while 'KANSAS' is in a smaller, capitalized block font. Stylized wheat stalks are depicted on both the left and right sides of the sign. The sign has four visible mounting holes, one near each corner. All four corners are rounded, with the right side showing more pronounced rounding. The front surface exhibits extensive wear including scratches, paint loss, fading, and discoloration. A faint blueish tint is visible within some of the 'Ottawa' lettering. The reverse side is a plain black with widespread rust, pitting, and general surface wear. The edges also show significant paint wear and exposed material.
