The deadlocking latch bolt is operated by inside the lever at all times. A key is used to retract the latch bolt and open the outside. When the key is removed, the outside will lock. The inside lever is unable to lock or unlock the outside lever. A 5-Pin SC1 cylinder and brass plug provide added security and peace of mind. Equipped with tubular chassis for easier installation, the keyed entry lever will fit wood or metal doors 1-3/8 in. to 2 in. thick. The Heavy-Duty Classroom Lever features 4-1/2 in. solid zinc diecast levers, an ANSI Grade 2 rating that's tested to exceed 500,000 cycles, a 3-hours fire rating (UL Listed) and is ADA compliant for commercial or residential use.
