German Simon & Halbig #914 doll, 28 inches tall, featuring a bisque head marked with the star symbol, hand-painted brows, sleeping brown glass eyes, open mouth with teeth, and a composition and wood ball-jointed body. One leg is shortened from the knee joint. The doll has a period-appropriate curly brown wig and comes with a paired brown floral dress, matching bonnet, brown knit socks, white lace-trimmed undergarments, and black lace-up boots. Clothing , wig and body show moderate wear consistent with age. Includes a head mold and prominent maker's markings on the back of the head. May have been restored and restrung. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit.
