The frame measures 30" W x 45 1/2" H The family travelled to Gatlinburg, Tn regularly, visiting his gallery to buy his works and build their collection. Vern Hippensteal, born September 6, 1948, in Sevierville, Tennessee, is a Gatlinburg-based artist with a career spanning over five decades. His work focuses on the subtle moods and timeless beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, rendered through transparent watercolor to evoke a poetic sense of the region's landscapes.
