Antique French porcelain powder jar and hair receiver. Decorated with a gold encrusted monogrammed B. With hand painted purple violet flowers over a pale yellow background. With a gold band with encrusted scrollwork. The powder jar is marked AK Limoges on the back. This mark dates between 1880 - 1890s. The hair receiver is marked Haviland France. This mark was used by Haviland in Limoges France between 1894 and 1931. These have some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. No chips or cracks. The powder jar measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide x 2 5/8 inches tall. The hair receiver measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall.
