Antique British pearlware sauce tureen with matching undertray and spoon. Decorated in Spode's pattern 1557 with green and brown enameled berries and leaves. Black enamel trim and black enamel highlights to the lid finial, handles, and pierced spoon. Impressed Spode on the bottom of the tureen and tray. Also has the pattern number 1557 on the bottom of the tureen and tray. Circa 1800. Has some spots of discoloration to the body, a lot of wear and flaking to the enamel, especially on the lid and tureen, and a chip to the foot rim of the tureen. Otherwise good condition. The tureen measures approximately 7 3/8 inches long from handle to handle x 4 3/8 inches wide x 4 3/4 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. The undertray measures approximately 9 3/4 inches long x 5 5/8 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches tall. The spoon measures approximately 2 1/2 inches wide x 6 7/8 inches long. The tureen measures approximately 5 inches tall when sitting on the undertray. We can offer packaging and shipping on this lot to a domestic USA address for $35.
