Antique British pearlware sugar bowl. Decorated in the Venetian Temple pattern in red transfer. Unmarked. Produced by William Adams. Circa 1820 to 1840s. Has crazing typical of earthenware, a spider/star hairline to the base, has some spots of dicoloration from the firing, glaze wear and in manufacture firing separations to the handles, numerous chips and flakes around the inner rim of the sugar, and a small chip to the inner rim of the lid. Measures approximately 7 inches from handle to handle x 6 3/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. We can offer packaging and shipping on this lot to a domestic USA address for $30.
