Nice British bone china footed tea cup and saucer with gadrooned edge. The tea cup is decorated with an orange bat print of a girl with a bird on one side and a cherub with a goat on the other. The saucer has the print of the girl with the bird. Orange ocher around the gardrooned edge. Unmarked. Made by Ridgway. Plate 713 page 119, A Compendium of British Cups by Michael Berthoud. Circa 1825. Has some wear consistent with age and use, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The tea cup measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 3 inches tall.
