Nice antique British bone china tea cup and saucer. Decorated in Spode's pattern 498 with hand painted flowers, birds, and flower basket in a pale purple, blue, red, and gold. Gold gilding along the edge. Unmarked. Circa 1805 to 1815. Has some crazing typical of bone china, some wear to the gilding, and a tight crack extending off the edge of the saucer. Otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
