This late-19th-century "Challenge Fast Grinder" No. 1080 is a beautifully preserved piece of Americana manufactured by the Sun Manufacturing Company of Ohio. Designed to process one pound of coffee, it features a classic dovetailed wooden box body paired with a decorative cast-iron hand crank and an uncommon threaded tin cap over the bean hopper. What makes this specific piece highly collectible is the rare survival of its original black paper factory label and its pristine wood patina, both of which drastically increase its value among antique kitchenware enthusiasts. The grinder is sold as is.
