This is an original porcelain enamel on tin Caution Spitting sign from Stonehouse Signs Denver. The sign is from circa 1920's. James Wesley (son of William Stonehouse) owner of Stonehouse Signs was the pioneer of the "Caution", "Warning", and "Notice" Signs. This original sign shows overall good condition for being nearly 100 years old. The sign reads, "Caution - Spitting On The Floor, Into Corners and Out-Of-The-Way Places is Unlawful, Unhealthy, Unsanitary and Dangerous It Will Not Be Tolerated" and "Stonehouse Signs, INC., Denver." Sign measures 10"x14".
