This charming pair of mid-century vintage ceramic cookie jars showcases a classic whimsical aesthetic popular in 1960s and 1970s American kitchenware. On the left is an ice cream waffle cone jar, featuring a deeply mottled chocolate-drip lid reminiscent of Japanese novelty imports or specialized promotional dairy runs made by companies like McCoy Pottery. On the right sits the highly collectible Metlox Poppytrail "Pretty Ann" (Raggedy Ann) figural doll cookie jar. Produced by the Metlox Manufacturing Company in Manhattan Beach, California, this 11-inch hand-painted ceramic piece splits at the torso to act as a functional container.
