A highly decorative and shiny Art Nouveau silver plated vanity box that is festooned on the front and lid with bas-relief flowers and a woman's face. The base is flat and rests on four decorative feet. The elaborate lid is attached using a pin hinge. The interior is unlined. A stamped mark on the base reads VICTOR SILVER CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE. These words circle a unicorn rampant. It has the words PAT. MAY 16 1905 and the production number of 6128. MEASUREMENTS 7 ¾ in (19.7 cm) long x 2 ¾ in (7.0 cm) wide x 2 ¾ in (7.0 cm) tall. Weighs 12.8 oz. CONDITION There are no dents, cracks, breaks, or repairs. The lid wobbles some. The box still has a lot of silver and has polished up nicely. A highly decorative and shiny silver plate box to add to a collection or keep on a dressing table.
