Nady 401x Quad 4 Channel UHF Wireless Microphone System. • Channels E (215.2MHz), E4 (173.8MHz) , F (203.4MHz), H (191.3MHz) Nady U-41 Overview • The Nady U-41 QUAD 4-Channel UHF Wireless Microphone System includes a U-41 QUAD Receiver, two UH-4 Handheld Microphone Transmitters, two UB-4 Bodypack Transmitters, two LM-14/O Lavalier Microphones, and a 16.5VDC / 0.4A adapter. The system offers a clear and natural sound. It delivers 4 discrete channels in the 902 to 928 MHz and 944 to 952 MHz bands for interference-free performance in any application or locale. It also features Nady’s proprietary companding and low-noise circuit for a 120 dB dynamic range. • The U-41 QUAD UHF Receiver has built-in brackets for rack mounting. The included antennas can be installed by connecting them to the two RF BNC connectors located on the left and right front of the receiver. The optimal position of the antennas is 90° from the receiver and for maximum range, it is always best to maintain a line of sight between the receiver antennas and the transmitter. The U-41 features volume controls on each channel with XLR microphone level (balanced) and 1/4” line level (unbalanced) outputs, and an external adjustable mute control for each channel. • The U-41 QUAD Receiver features Nady’s Tone Squelch circuit for professional use and for anyone who needs advanced protection against RF interference during a recording, performance, or presentation. This feature is strongly recommended for situations where the transmitter is turned on or off during use. With Tone Squelch circuit, an unwanted signal, which may enter your inactive receiver, will not be amplified by your connected equipment even if the receiver is left on with the transmitter switched off. The Tone Squelch prevents a pop or disruptive noise from your sound system. The receiver detects a specific tone code signal from your transmitter, which unlocks your receiver’s audio. In this manner, only your own modulated signal can then be heard. • The UH-4 Handheld Transmitters and UB-4 Bodypack Transmitters are all powered by single alkaline 9-volt batteries and feature off / mute / on switches for ease of use, as well as input level trim controls for optimum sound output. LM-14/O Lavalier Microphones are included for use with the bodypacks. Optional headworn mics and instrument cables (sold separately) can also be used with the bodypacks. Input selector switches located under the cover on the circuit board allow the user to select the type of audio input that will be supplied to the bodypack transmitter to set the proper mode for operation. • U-41 QUAD Receiver • Four discrete UHF wireless receivers in a single rugged 19" 1U, all-metal rackmount housing • Back panel features balanced XLR microphone level output, unbalanced 1/4" jack line level sum output with separate volumes, and external adjustable mute control for each channel • Front panel LED display indicates transmitter on and AF levels bar graph for each chan
