SARIE MARAIS MODERNIST STEEL CHAIR. The Chair borrows Style from early 20th century Art Nouveau and Glasgow style geometry as well, Charles Rohlfs. Sarie Marais is a distinguished Canadian Sculptor and Metalsmith, her creative studio is in Niagara-On -The -Lake Ontario. The Chair is weld fabricated of sheet steel, bar stock, expanded metal and salvage yard finds. The chair retains original colour and stands 64.6"/164cm high. Excellent Original Condition. Her work resides in many collections including a 30-piece metal chair installation at The National Art Centre in Ottawa.
