19th-century Scottish "Literary" longcase mahogany clock. Hand-painted arched face portrays a lively interior scene labeled "Cotter's Saturday Night", a poem by Robert Burns. Paint has worn, but it still exhibits gorgeous color and detail. Arabic numerals appear to have been re-colored. Clock is in good working condition with original weights and pendulum. Case and winding keys included. Exterior in good condition with some cracking on veneer that can be expected with age. Please see photos. Measures 18.5" by 9.25", 82" tall.
