This lot consists of a hand painted Mixed Media on paper in the style of the painter Rufino Tamayo. Rufino del Carmen Arellanes Tamayo (Oaxaca de Juárez, August 25, 1899 - Mexico City, June 24, 1991) was a Mexican painter. Capital figure in the panorama of Mexican painting of the 20th century, Rufino Tamayo was one of the first Latin American artists who, together with the representatives of the well-known "group of three" (Rivera, Siqueiros and Orozco), achieved prominence and diffusion Truly international. Like them, he participated in the important muralist movement that flourished in the period between the two world wars. His works, however, due to their creative will and characteristics, have a different dimension and are clearly distinguished from those of the aforementioned group and their followers. Size: 9 by 11 3/4 inches. All measurements are approximate.
