This lot consists of a hand painted ink on paper in the style of the painter Giorgio Morandi. He was born into a family in which he shared space with seven other siblings. In 1907, after a brief period working in the same company where his father worked, he received artistic instruction at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. On a trip he made around that time to Florence, he discovered the work of the early Italian Renaissance artists, Giotto, Masaccio and Uccello, whom he studied following the Cezanesque prism (by Paul Cézanne), an artist whom he had discovered shortly before. . <br> Image Size: 11 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches (29 by 21.5 cm) All measurements are approximate.
