This lot consists of a hand painted oil on Masonite rendered in style of the Kentucky-born artist and poet Henry Faulkner (1924-1981).Lawrence Faulkner was a Kentucky-born artist and poet known as an eccentric rebel and bohemian. Faulkner is best known for his wildly colourful oil paintings and eccentric acts, including his bringing a bourbon-drinking goat to parties and art shows. He was a close friend of Tennessee Williams, who called him "a creative poet and artist." Faulkner died in a car accident in Lexington, Kentucky, on December 3, 1981.DIMENSIONS: Unframed 14 1/2" X 21 1/4". Framed 19"x 26" PROVENANCE: Private Collection
