Vintage Copper Milk Can

Offered is a vintage copper milk can / water can with porcelain handles. The can is a tall copper vessel with rolled rim, tapered neck, bulbous body, and applied foot band with visible vertical and base solder seams, fitted with two side handles with brass brackets and blue and white decorated ceramic barrel grips with striped and foliate patterns, measuring approximately 14" to 15" tall x approximately 8" to 9" diameter at top, approximately 10" to 11" wide handle to handle. The piece shows surface wear consistent with age and use including light to moderate dents, dimpling and soft bends particularly to lower body and foot as pictured, light scratches, scuffs, surface tarnish and darkened patina, and scattered verdigris spotting with heavier green verdigris at rim, seams, handle mounts and interior as pictured. The interior shows dark oxidation, residue and verdigris. The porcelain handles show light wear, crazing and surface soiling, with one handle showing a brownish discoloration / stain to glaze as pictured.
