The 1914-S $5 Gold Indian is a highly collectible coin from the innovative Indian Head Half Eagle series (19081929) designed by Bela Lyon Pratt. Struck at the San Francisco Mint with the S mintmark, it features Pratts distinctive incuse (sunken) design, where the Native American chief on the obverse and the eagle on the reverse are recessed into the coins surface.
