Walnut cased German bracket clock with a carved fan crest over a small pedimented block, turned and fluted side columns, a carved foliate panel above the dial, and a carved cartouche on the plinth. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals, a brushed gold colored center, cast Art Nouveau corner spandrels with flowers, and square winding arbors set into the face. Behind the hinged back door the movement plate is stamped with the Junghans eight point star trademark enclosing the letters J and V, the caliber marking A07, and GERMANY beneath. Written inside the back panel in pencil is 12 - April 1909. The pendulum with brass bob hangs in place and a key is included. The star trademark is the mark to look for when confirming a Junghans. Case finish is sound with light rubbing, silvered ring lightly spotted. Base measures about 12 inches wide. Not tested. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
