This oil on canvas painting depicts a vast heathland landscape under an atmospheric, overcast green sky. A winding sandy path leads the viewer toward a distant horizon featuring a small architectural spire. The work is signed in light-colored paint in the lower left corner and is housed in a multi-tiered wooden frame with a cream-painted inner liner and gilded outer edges. The canvas is stretched over a wooden stretcher with keys and shows two small repair patches on the verso. Frame measures 20 x 27 inches. Overall good condition with minor frame abrasions and surface dirt. The canvas has two small patches on the reverse indicating previous professional repair. Slight gapping at frame corners.
