This original drypoint etching by Nathaniel P. Steinberg is titled ‘Swing’ and depicts a dynamic trio of jazz musicians. The work is pencil signed N. P. Steinberg in the lower right margin and titled Swing in the lower left. The plate also features the incised initials NPS. The composition showcases a trumpeter, clarinetist, and saxophonist rendered with vigorous hatched line work on toned paper. It is professionally housed in a wooden frame with a black double mat and a gallery label on the reverse. The frame measures 16 x 18 inches. The print shows moderate overall toning and minor rippling consistent with age. There is a small scuff on the lower edge of the frame. The paper backing on the reverse has light scuffing and a handwritten inventory number in the corner.
