Provenance: Private collection, Miami; private acquisition, Paris Visual Description: A bold, graphic composition in vertical format, set within a wide border of saturated violet and royal purple. Inside, a rectangular field is divided by thick black lines into panels of lemon yellow, several patterned with rows of short black dashes, above a narrow band of pale turquoise dotted with black dashes along the bottom edge. Across these panels, a single white figure with a round head and simplified, rubbery limbs twists through the composition: one arm raised high at upper right, the other bent at left, and the torso dissolving into a long, looping coil that spirals down the center of the canvas in a series of rings before ending in a kicking leg and a foot planted on the turquoise band. A second hand reaches out at lower right. Short curved black dashes radiate around the figure's limbs and hands, a characteristic device that suggests movement, energy, and vibration. Every form is outlined in a heavy, uniform black line, and the flat, unmodulated colors give the image the clarity of a sign or poster. The cartoon-like figure, the radiating motion lines, and the playful, graffiti-derived vocabulary reflect the visual language of 1980s Pop and street art. Along the right side, a painted inscription reads " K. Haring." This composition reflects stylistic elements commonly associated with major figures in modern and contemporary art.
