Title: All-Over Poured Abstraction in Black, Yellow, Green, and Blue on White Technique: Oil on canvas Measures: 35 x 47 inches (88.9 x 119.4 cm) Year: Undated Condition: Appears in generally good visual condition based on the photographs supplied, with bright coloration and densely layered, glossy skeins, pools, and droplets of paint standing in relief across the surface. The white ground shows light, scattered soiling and minor discoloration toward the edges. No significant paint losses or tears are apparent in the available images. Minor surface irregularities, light handling marks, and age-related wear may be present. Condition is described from the photographs supplied. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description. Provenance: Private Collection Visual Description: A large horizontal, all-over abstraction in which a dense, energetic web of poured and spattered paint covers a white ground from edge to edge, with no single focal point. Heavy black skeins form the dominant structure, sweeping across the canvas in long arcs, loops, and abrupt diagonal strokes, ranging from thick, pooled ribbons to fine, whiplike filaments. Interwoven with them are bright threads and splashes of golden yellow and saffron, along with lines and blotches of olive and spring green that thicken in places into broad, irregular patches. Deep navy and cobalt blue appear as clusters of small droplets and short spattered trails, especially toward the upper and lower edges, while lighter skeins of pale dove gray weave quietly between the brighter colors, softening the contrast. Areas of white ground remain visible throughout, letting the composition breathe and emphasizing the rhythmic interplay of line and color. The evident movement of the paint, the layering of trajectories, and the even distribution of energy across the surface reflect the visual language of Abstract Expressionism and its gestural, action-based tendencies. The lower right bears a painted inscription, partially legible in the photographs, that appears to read "Jackson Pollock." This composition reflects stylistic elements commonly associated with major figures in modern and contemporary art.
