An authentic Confederate States of America five dollar banknote dated September 2, 1861, issued in Richmond. The note features a central vignette of a man with farm equipment and a seated figure on the right, housed in a protective plastic sleeve. The paper shows evident signs of age, including significant staining on the reverse and minor edge wear consistent with a circulated historical currency note.
